Submissions now accepted!

Hey guys,

So I promised right? Well now we accept submissions using Tumblr’s new submit form. You can access it from the sidebar or go to tumblecal.com/submit.

There are very specific instructions that you must follow in order for this to work, so please read them on the submission page!

Can’t wait to see what you come up with for August!

Love,

Matt, Karen, Andrew and Elliott

Movin’ on up!

Hey guys,

So this month was / is going to be a big one. We want to thank everyone for their continued support of tumbleCal! I’m also here to make a couple of announcements.

Next month be prepared for desktop calendars. You wanted them, we’re gonna make them. Also we plan on having a formal submission application ready so you can submit calendars to be included in our releases. I’m also dreaming up some other big stuff, but that’s all I can share for now!

Enjoy July and go have some summer fun!

Love,

Matt, Andrew, Karen and Elliott.

You guys rock.

You guys rock.

Give Away

Sup dudes!

I’m bored, and when I’m bored I tend to count things. So I started counting tumbleCal buttons and realized I have a lot! So I’m gonna give some away. But of course it can’t be easy.

So in my typical contest fashion, I’ve hidden a link in tumbleCal’s site. Find it, and it will tell you everything you need to do to get some free tumbleCal buttons. The first 10 people who find it wins! GO!

Hey Tumblr’s!
So guess what? We have a new design! That’s right, after thinking about it for awhile, I decided it would be better if a web service like tumbleCal used a theme similar to the service in which we derive our very name. So after an hour or so of toying around, I present you with the new and improved tumbleCal!
Comments are still there, you just have to view a posts page to see them; which you can do by clicking the bar that says who posted it / how many notes.
I’m still working on getting our tweets to display, but in the meantime the link to our twitter is still active.
Have fun!

Contest

pixeled:

Hey pixels!

So far this blog has been doing great, with well over 200 followers and growing, I couldn’t be more happy with your love for design. But I know for a fact that I’m not the only graphic design student (or just graphic artist) out there. So here’s the deal:

I want to see your graphic work for a chance to win a Pixeled shirt of your choosing.

Rules:

1. Image must be 1,000px X 1,000px in size at 300DPI in 8 bit RGB color.

2. You can use only Photoshop or Illustrator to create the image.

3. The image has to be an original idea. It can include a brush or two, and a custom shape if needed, but the vast majority of it should be created from scratch using things like the Pen tool or a drawing tablet.

Prizes:

Winner will get a Pixeled shirt of their choice from our store!

OR

Their own design printed on a shirt for free, provided it’s possible to be converted to shirt design (meaning not to complicated or using too many colors).

Send your final PSD or AI file to me at “matt [at] immattimtrying [dot] com” with a contact email and your name. Contest ends next Saturday, April 11th 2009.

So be creative, because I just love giving stuff away!

Little bro is having a contest for graphic artists! Give it a try!

Update

Hey guys,

Before we launch our next set of calendars we have some cool news for you!

First, Andrew Cornett has joined the tumbleCal. team, and will be providing you with even more choices in calendar design! He’s a wonderful designer from California, and a close friend to all of us here, so we know you’ll love his stuff!

Second, tumbleCal. now supports Facebook Connect. This means you can comment on our posts without creating a Disqus account. Just login with your Facebook account and link it up!

And finally, tumbleCal. pins are on their way! We’ll be sending out these bad boys soon, but first we want to know how many want them, so comment here to tell us if your interested. We’ll make an official announcement when they’re ready for sale.

See you next week!
